Fermented Beans
Fermented beans, also known as Nattō, are a traditional Japanese food made from soybeans. To produce it, the beans are cooked and then fermented through the action of a specific bacterium. This process results in the formation of a stringy slime around the beans, giving the dish a distinctive strong odor. Nattō is served as a side dish alongside other dishes, used as an ingredient, and consumed as a standalone dish, often seasoned with various ingredients.
